The Knoppert family has asked me to be the exclusive marketer of their horses in North America. Johan Knoppert was my first "contact" with the KWPN horse world. He and I have been friends since the very early nineties. His family bred the well known Burggraaf x Orthos mare, Hadine. Hadine was a successful Grand Prix jumper. Out of this same mare line, the Knopperts have a number of very good prospects. The first one that we will be marketing for them is a four year old, Voltaire x Orthos gelding, who is a half brother to Hadine. I saw this horse as a colt at his mother's side and have pictures of him now, which will be posted soon. He is approximately 16.2 hands, big bodied, and has six months under saddle. This young man has an excellent character and shows much talent for jumping. He is available for 11,000. Euro, plus importation costs. Please contact me for more information.

One of our new goals at SSF is to get our horses out into the sport world. Udaulo SSF is a coming three year old gelding with an illustrious dressage pedigree and future. Currently, he is still in Holland. If you are a dressage trainer/competitor who is in need of a special horse, we are willing to do our part to help you. You import this boy, and he is yours to ride, train, and compete for as long as you wish. If we reach a mutual decision that he is to be sold, then SSF gets 25% or the sale price. We want the horses we breed to get out and show the world just how special our breeding program really is.

We are more and more impressed with this filly. Carol had a fit when she found out that I had originally listed Miss Zirona at $7500. This girl should mature 17+ hands--she is stately, gorgeous, and has super, super self-carriage. Plus, her mareline is superb. We originally purchased her dam, Kirona, from DG Bar Ranch because I have always admired the horses my friend, Willy, has produced out of this line. We are in no hurry to sell this filly, and the price listed is as low as it will go. $10,000.

Zion SSF (Freestyle x Pion x Michelangelo)
"Booger" is our first premie foal. He had a touch and go first month, but is now growing into a really super boy. He has the typical modern type of a Freestyle foal, and is our first Freestyle foal who seems to have inherited his father's laid back personality. I'm especially pleased with the strength in the top line of this boy--he is all about ease and lift. Since he did have a slow start, we are pricing him well below his value. SOLD

It makes me nearly crazy to put this weanling boy on our sales page, but he is not stallion material--he is a sport horse--he is smart, animated, supple, and powerful. Willy will make someone an exceptional dressage partner. $10,000.

I have had every intention of keeping this beautiful boy a stallion; he’s gorgeous, has a great temperament, and is a super mover--well....he’s now a gelding. I really just decided that there are enough stallions in the world and a horse as nice as he really deserves a happier life as a gelding. So, he’s a coming three year old gelding. I’m not in a hurry to sell him, but all geldings eventually go at SSF--we’re a breeding operation. We just moved Houdini to an indoor so that we can start ground driving and backing him. The price is as cheap as it’s going to get, and will go up the closer we get to having him completely backed. SOLD

Bright, bay, pinto colt out of the same mare line that produced the approved, KWPN stallion Democraat. His dam has competed in low jumpers and dressage; his sire, Iroko, is a world famous Grand Prix jumper and one of the top producers of jumpers in the world. This colt has superior conformation and movement in a very bright package!

We know that not everyone is looking for his or her next Olympic mount--although we produce some of those special horses, which, in the right hands, could go all the way, we also produce horses for people who simply love horses. The mares which produce our crosses are much-loved members of our family that have earned such places in our hearts that they will never leave. Consequently, since we believe that everyone on the farm needs a job, theirs is to produce a family-foal each year .

Bay, weanling, Percheron cross filly. Beth is my 86 year old father's beloved mare. When the time came that he could no longer take care of her, she moved in with us. Beth is placid, smart, and wonderful to have around; she has been a phenomenal teaser mare, and has become one of Iroko's prized possessions. Zippitty is a really exciting filly with loads of talent for collection and a huge amount of power in her hind end. This girl will have some SIZE to her.

Zirkia SSF(Iroko x Fairfield's Fortune)
Bright chestnut, weanling filly with loads of white. Zirkia's mother, Linda, is one of the gentle souls of the farm. We purchased her in foal to the sire of Michaela's show Morgan, because this stallion's semen doesn't ship and we wanted another offspring of his. Since, through a series of trades of the kind that only Keagan can make (he just traded his three year old gelding for a new TV and DVD player), Linda has become Keagan's mare. He's thinking that this filly is so pretty that he doesn't want to sell her, so, if you call about her and Keagan answers the phone, it's probably best that you just ask for me....

Zeoliet gelding. Out of a Hannoverian-approved TB mare, received an 8 on her walk. Dam traces back to Bonne Nuit and Catch on Fire. Handsome and willing. NA/WPN National Hunter Breeding Champion, and he won his class at the 2002 ISF Keuring. Lots of potential as a sport horse.
